Our Social Justice Mission

At Quiick Briick, we believe that sustainability goes hand in hand with social justice. We're not just transforming plastic waste into sustainable building materials — we're also transforming lives. Our mission is to give people who are already in the recycling economy, such as those who collect cans and bottles for 5-cent refunds, a better opportunity to thrive. Through our program, we provide these individuals with one-day training and heavy-duty gloves, equipping them to collect recyclable plastics that can earn them between $0.25 and $1.25 per pound. This opens up a new, more profitable path for those already familiar with recycling, allowing them to earn more while helping to reduce environmental waste. But it doesn’t stop there. We recognize the unique challenges many of these individuals face, including those in recovery from addiction or who lack essential identification documents. That's why we offer a support system that helps them obtain vital records like birth certificates, identification cards, and social security cards, which are often out of reach but crucial for reintegrating into society.

Our initiative goes beyond just providing work. We also help participants set aside savings, offering them the tools to succeed not just as recyclers, but as empowered citizens. Whether it's connecting them with NA/AA programs, high school equivalency or offering financial literacy resources, we tailor opportunities to meet their individual needs, ensuring they have a real chance to rebuild their lives.
